Start Basic and Start Next are the only chronometers in the world that use a GPS receiver with a 50Hz position sampling rate, guaranteeing lap time accuracy to the hundredth of a second and GPS trajectory display accuracy that is impossible to match with receivers currently on the market.
The new Starts use a touch screen display with “Gloves Sensitive” technology that allows the rider to use them perfectly even when wearing gloves, and the icon menu makes navigation easier and more intuitive.
Thanks to automatic detection and a global database, the circuit will be automatically detected by the chronometer without having to press any buttons. Start Basic is the entry level version, without data acquisition; lap times will be displayed directly on the display and can be downloaded to the PC later.
Start Next stores GPS trajectories, speed, direction, acceleration and lean angle, allowing the rider to review and analyse performance on the PC.
Main features:
- Ultra-bright TFT display: a 320x240px color TFT display with 1000mcd illumination to allow perfect visibility even under sunlight
- 50Hz GPS receiver: the only stopwatch in the world to use a revolutionary 50Hz GPS receiver, being able to detect the position from the satellite 50 times per second Start is able to calculate a lap time with unrivaled precision and to be able to memorize the position of your vehicle with almost absolute precision.
- Touch Screen: say goodbye to uncomfortable buttons to press, Start is equipped with a touch screen with "Gloves Sensitive" technology that allows it to be used even when wearing gloves. The touch screen makes using Start simple and intuitive thanks also to the icon menu.
- Three intermediate times: in addition to memorizing the lap time Start is able to display and memorize up to 3 intermediate times.
- Intermediate time improvement LED: thanks to the preset intermediates, a LED will warn you if you are improving your lap time, both at the intermediate and at the finish line.
- Ideal time: by setting the intermediate times at the end of the session, the ideal achievable time calculated by the sum of the best intermediate times will be shown.
- Predictive time: from the third lap of each session it will be possible to view the expected time at the finish line in two different modes, including the most intuitive as the difference from the best lap of the session.
- LED bar and multicolored alarm: a fully configurable LED bar and alarm make Start a complete stopwatch for any use.
- LED bar in chrono mode: the new 5 multicolored LED bar creates the opportunity for new functions, by setting the LED bar to chrono mode the LEDs will transform into a simplified stopwatch visible even at a glance, so that the driver can remain focused on driving without having to be distracted by reading the display. From the third lap the LED bar will be used to display the gap between the current time (expected time at the finish line) and the best lap of the session. Each LED on corresponds to a tenth of a second of gap, if the LEDs are green the expected time will be lower than the best time of the session, if they are red worse. For example, if two green LEDs are turned on while riding it means that the expected time at the finish line will be 0.2 seconds lower than the best time of the session.
- Display of different values (only for Start Next): thanks to the rear military connector it is possible to expand the storage and display capacity of Start Next. By connecting one of the available expander boxes, different predefined screens are activated where you can display engine rpm, temperature, thermocouple temperature (example exhaust gas) and gear engaged
- Lean angle (Start Next only): by downloading the data to a PC or APP thanks to a specific algorithm you can know the lean angle for each individual curve of the circuit, all this without having to install any sensor or accessory on the bike.
- Data acquisition (Start Next only): Start Next allows the acquisition of trajectories and speeds detected via GPS; furthermore, by connecting the dedicated expansion modules, up to 9 analog and 3 digital channels can be acquired.
- Data analysis software (Start Next only): RacePro is the brand new analysis software dedicated to Start Next; you can professionally analyze the trajectories to improve your driving technique and, through the analysis of the data obtained from the sensors, increase the vehicle's performance.
- Mobile app (Start Next only): download the new apps available for all Android and iOS devices. Thanks to the application, you will not need to take your laptop to the track to perform a more in-depth analysis of the stored values.
- Internal battery: Start is equipped with an internal rechargeable lithium battery. The internal battery makes the instrument particularly suitable for use on all those vehicles without an on-board battery such as Supermotard, Scooter, etc.
- RaceRender function (Start Next only): thanks to the RaceRender program it is possible to create videos with the overlay of the data downloaded from your Start Next.
