The result of over 10 years of intensive research, development and testing, the goal of the Supertech helmet family is to create the most advanced, protective and performance-enhancing helmets possible for racers and motorcyclists around the world.
After years of extensive research, development and testing of the Supertech R10 road racing helmet by Alpinestars Helmet Product Development Department, together with MotoGP legend Andrea Dovizioso and MotoGP riders Jorge Martin and Jack Miller.
With the S-R10, the design goal was to ensure the highest level of performance, especially in terms of protection and a new level of safety.
The S-R10 helmet has been designed to provide the perfect combination of excellent ventilation, unrivalled comfort and the lightest possible weight without compromising on any other aspect.
Another crucial element unique to the design and development of the S-R10 is the advanced aerodynamics of the helmet, with countless wind tunnel sessions aimed at reducing drag and providing optimal aerodynamic stability.

MULTI-LAYER CARBON COMPOSITE SHELL CONSTRUCTION DISTRIBUTES IMPACT ENERGY
Approved to ECE 22.06, DOT and FIM standards, the Supertech R10’s shell construction uses highly advanced molding technology with a multi-composite combination that features a 3K high-density carbon outer layer, a unidirectional carbon composite layer, an aramid fiber layer and a fiberglass layer.
The 3K high-density carbon outer layer provides excellent strength and energy dissipation efficiency across the shell.
The unidirectional (UD) carbon composite layer provides significantly more radial resistance around the shell, preventing compression but allowing for controlled deflection to reduce transmitted impact energy. And the aramid fiber and fiberglass layers provide critical penetration protection.
The unique construction of the S-R10 shell results in extremely effective impact protection.
THE S-R10 INNER SHELL IS MADE OF MULTI-DENSITY EPS
The S-R10 has four inner shells just like the outer shell and is available in four anatomical sizes.
The construction of the S-R10 is optimized to ensure that riders have the right fit, which not only improves comfort and reduces overall weight, but more importantly improves the effectiveness of the helmet in the event of an impact.
Under the outer shell of the helmet is an eight-piece, multi-density EPS liner, with six specific densities strategically placed in different zones to ensure excellent energy absorption from the impact forces dissipated on the outer shell, as well as a close and comfortable fit.
The EPS liner, just like the outer shell, is a unique size for each helmet size, further tailoring the performance and fit of the helmet in terms of protection and comfort.
A-HEAD FIT SYSTEM
Adding to the customization and tailored fit of the S-R10 is the helmet’s unique and patented A-Head fit system. The A-Head system allows the helmet to be adjusted precisely to the rider’s preference, with the ability to adjust both the height and angle at which the helmet sits on the head.
AERODYNAMICS
Developed using CFD simulations, validated in the on-track wind tunnel, the S-R10 helmet is optimized for low drag and maximum aerodynamic stability.
The S-R10 comes with two separate aerodynamic spoilers – a standard version and a longer racing version – and both feature Alpinestars’ patented release system, with elastic joints that help the spoiler release from the helmet shell upon significant impact, regardless of the angle, to reduce potential rotational energy.
There are also side fins to further support the stability of the S-R10 and improve aerodynamic resistance.
In addition, the helmet visor has turbulators to improve aero-acoustic performance.
VENTILATION
The supertech R10 helmet contains 11 ventilation points.
When it comes to ventilation and breathability, there are 11 ventilation ports, excluding the eye port, with 7 air intakes including 3 in the chin guard and 4 on the top of the helmet, plus 4 exhausts, with 2 side ports on the chin bar and 2 on the top rear of the helmet.
